WHEREAS, The Environmental Department requests to memorialize the grant application submitted to the Alabama Department of Environmental Management GOMESA Litter Trap Grant, and
WHEREAS, ADEM was accepting grant applications until February 17, 2023, and
WHEREAS, the Environmental Department is requesting $65,500 with no matching funds for litter traps to be placed at four locations , and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Memorializes the grant submission for the Alabama Department of Environmental Management GOMESA Litter Trap Grant submitted prior to February 17, 2023.
SECTION 2: Council authorizes the Mayor and other City officials to sign the grant application and other documents as required for the submission of the grant.
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
