WHEREAS, Police Department is requesting council approval for a Navy Jet Crash Memorial to be placed just off of Juniper Street South of Bay Street which is near the original crash site.
This location will be a place to pay our respects and memorialize the day this pilot died for his country on January 28, 1983 in Foley, Alabama.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Declares the Navy Jet Crash Memorial site to be placed just off of Juniper Street South of Bay Street which is near the original crash site. This location will be a place to pay
our respects and memorialize the day this pilot died for his country on January 28, 1983 in Foley, Alabama.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
