WHEREAS, The Foley Police Department has (2) two vehicles which are no longer being utilized. The Police Department requests Council to declare these vehicles: (Asset ID# 262) Unit # 20100110 2010
Jaguar XF VIN: SAJWAA0GB3ALR53320 silver in color, and (Asset ID# 499) Unit # 20100411 2011 Ford Mustang VIN: 1ZVB8AM9B5130334 blue in color, as surplus and no longer needed for
a public purpose and be disposed of by the best method available and,
WHEREAS, If the vehicles are sold, the Baldwin County District Attorney's office should be reimbursed $208.80 for the costs of publication for the Jaguar and the proceeds from both vehicles (minus the
cost of selling, maintenance, and repair) must be divided 80% to the Foley Police Department and 20% to the Baldwin County District Attorney's Office.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves the request to declare these vehicles: Unit # 20100110 2010 Jaguar XF VIN: SAJWAA0GB3ALR53320 silver in color, and Unit # 20100411 2011 Ford Mustang VIN:1ZVB8AM9B5130334
blue in color as surplus and no longer needed for a public purpose.
SECTION 2: Approves the disposal of the surplus vehicles by the best method available.
SECTION 3: Approves payment of $208.80 of expenses and 20% of sale proceeds to Baldwin County District Attorney should the vehicles sale.
SECTION 4: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
