Consider partnering with Foley High School Cross Country to sponsor Corpse Crawl 2014 on August 9, 2014 at Graham Creek Nature Preserve. Expenses for the race will be covered by the City through the Graham Creek Events Account and reimbursed through revenue generated from race fees. A request is being made to donate 80% of profits to Foley High School Cross Country Team.

WHEREAS, the Foley High School Cross Country Team is seeking funding for expenses of meets and uniforms, and
WHEREAS, Graham Creek Nature Preserve hosts the Foley Invitational Cross Country Meet, and
WHEREAS, the Foley High School Cross Country Team has requested to partner with the City of Foley to host the Corpse Crawl at Graham Creek Nature Preserve on August 9, 2014, and
WHEREAS, the City receives all the payments for the race participation and pays all expenses for the race, and
WHEREAS, Foley High School Cross Country Team requests a donation of eighty percent of the profits from the event.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Eighty percent of the profits from Corpse Crawl event will be donated to the Foley High School Cross Country Team.
SECTION 2: Expenses from the event will be through Account Number 01-620-8155 GCP EVENT, and all revenue from the event will be recorded in account 01-5050 GCP EVENT.
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
