                     WHEREAS, The essential duties of one of the Library Aide I positions have changed and that position has taken on higher level tasks in support of the Circulation Desk, and

                     WHEREAS, A Job Survey and Analysis has been completed on this position and it is recommended that this position be upgraded to a Library Aide II - Circulation Desk at a pay grade of G-60.

                     WHEREAS, The current FY20 Budget has a pool of funds available for position upgrades and this resolution authorizes a transfer of funds in support of this position upgrade and therefore, the action is budget neutral.     

 

                     NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:

                     SECTION 1: Authorizes a title change to the current Library  Aide I position (job code #5020101) to the new job title of Library Aide II - Circulation Desk (job code #5020112) and authorizes a pay grade increase from a G-30 to a G-60 in the City's Pay Classification Plan effective Pay Period Beginning February 4, 2020. 

                     SECTION 2: Authorizes a job title change of the existing Library Aide II (job code #5020103) to a job title of Library Aide II - Computer Lab (job code #5020113) with no other changes to this position.

                     SECTION 3: Authorizes a transfer of funds in the amount of $2,173.79 out of the Reserve for Salary Increases Account #100-9200-5999 and authorizes a transfer of funds into the Library Salaries Account #100-5020-5000 in the amount of $1,868.80; into the Library Payroll Tax Expense Account #100-5020-5004 in the amount of $142.96; into the Library Retirement Expense Account #100-5020-5007 in the amount of $85.22; and into the Library Workers Comp Expense Account #100-5020-5008 in the amount of $76.81.

                     SECTION 4: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
