Summary
To better serve the citizens of Foley , the Sanitation Department requests to purchase a 2019 Peterbilt 337 Limb Truck (VIN#1611) for $182,500 from Rush Refuse Systems through Buyboard Contract# 521-16. It is included in the FY20 budget under account# 100-4010-5100 for $182,500. We have been renting this limb truck, but would like to purchase it as a replacement for Vehicle# 401058 (Old #1058), which is worn out and costing too much in repairs. The Sanitation Department also requests that the 2007 Frieghtliner Limb Truck #401058 (Old #1058) be declared surplus and disposed of through JM Wood Auction in Montgomery, AL.

WHEREAS, The Sanitation Department needs to purchase a 2019 Peterbilt 337 Limb Truck (VIN#1611), which they have been renting, and
WHEREAS, The total cost of the new truck is $182,500 from Rush Refuse Systems through Buyboard Contract# 521-16 and is included in the FY20 budget under account# 100-4010-5100 for $182,500, and
WHEREAS, This new limb truck will be a replacement for the Sanitation Dept. 2007 Frieghtliner Limb Truck # 401058 (Old #1058) , which is worn out and costing too much in repairs, and
WHEREAS, The Street Department requests the 2007 Frieghtliner Limb Truck # 401058 (Old #1058) be declared surplus and disposed of through JM Wood Auction in Montgomery, AL.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves the purchase of a 2019 Peterbilt 337 Limb Truck (VIN#1611) for $182,500 from Rush Refuse Systems through Buyboard Contract# 521-16 under account# 100-4010-5100, and
SECTION 2: Approves the declaration of the 2007 Frieghtliner Limb Truck # 401058 (Old #1058) as surplus and approves the disposal of it through JM Wood Auction in Montgomery, AL.
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
