WHEREAS, bids were solicited and opened on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. for the rehabilitation of access taxiways at the Foley Municipal Airport.
WHEREAS, construction work for this project is not planned to begin until FY20.
WHEREAS, John G. Walton Construction Co., Inc., submitted the lowest responsible bid in the amount of $488,432.41 for a total project cost of $488,432.41.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Accepts John G. Walton Construction Co., Inc.'s bid in the amount of $488,432.41.
SECTION 2: Approves appropriation in the FY20 budget for rehabilitation of access taxiway in the amount of $488,432.41 plus a 10% contingency in the amount of $48,843.24 for a total of $537,275.65 in account 400-1070-5104 R46 CONST.
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
