Request approval to go to bid and purchase a 4X4 crew cab pickup truck for the Fire Department.

 

Summary

I am requesting approval to go to bid and purchase a 4X4 crew cab pickup truck for the Fire Department.  This is a budgeted capital item in the Fire Ad Valorem Fund budget, and it will allow us to replace a 2001 Dodge Dakota and repurpose a 2009 Ford F-150.  I am requesting the full budgeted amount of $40,000 to include the required emergency response equipment

     WHEREAS, The Foley Fire Department has a need and has budgeted for a new 4X4 crew cab pickup truck using the Fire Ad Valorem Fund.

     NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:

     SECTION 1:     Approves to go to bid and purchase the budgeted pickup truck and required emergency response equipment under account 02-600-  7010 for an amount not to exceed $40,000.

     SECTION 2:     This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
