There is a need to convert one "Corporal/Detective" position (G-18) to a "Detective" position (G-15) and one "Corporal/Detective" position to a "Sergeant/Detective" position (G-20) in the City's Pay Classification Plan. This will help the Police Department to better manage the narcotics work load in the Criminal Investigations Division. This restructure is budget neutral to the Police Department Budget.

     WHEREAS, There is a need to convert one "Corporal/Detective" position (G-18) to a "Detective" position (G-15) and one "Corporal/Detective" position to a "Sergeant/Detective" position (G-20) in the City's Pay Classification Plan. This will help the Police Department to better manage the narcotics work load in the Criminal Investigations Division. This restructure is budget neutral to the Police Department Budget.   

 

     NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:

     SECTION 1: Authorizes an amendment to the City's Pay Classification Plan to convert one "Corporal/Detective" position (G-18) to a "Detective" position (G-15) and one "Corporal/Detective" position to a "Sergeant/Detective" position (G-20) effective with the Pay Period Beginning May 2, 2017.  

     SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
