Summary

The Residential Sanitation Department would like to request that the Mayor sign a Letter of Intent for the Purchase of one (1) 2023 Kenworth T380 chassis and one (1) 2023 Hardox 25 cu yd Body from Ingram Equipment Company for $239,663.00. This Knuckleboom Loader is budgeted for FY24, but we need to send a letter of intent to them to hold our place in the long list of companies ordering them for next year.

     WHEREAS, the Residential Sanitation Department would like to request that the Mayor sign a Letter of Intent for the Purchase of one (1) 2023  Kenworth T380 chassis and one (1) 2023 Hardox 25 cu yd Body from Ingram Equipment Company for $239,663.00 off Sourcewell contract 060920-NAF, AND

    

     WHEREAS, this is a planned purchase for FY24 but there is an unusually long lead time in getting chassis & bodies for trucks, we need to send a letter of intent to them to hold our place in the long list of companies ordering them for next year.

 

     NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:

 

     SECTION 1:     Authorizes the Mayor sign a Letter of Intent for the Purchase of one (1) 2023 Kenworth T380 chassis and one (1) 2023 Hardox 25 cu yd Body from Ingram Equipment Company for $239,663.00 for one new Knuckleboom Loader for Residential Sanitation.

 

     SECTION 2:     This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
