WHEREAS, the Nature Parks Department has budgeted a full sized truck in the FY 2024 budget for $40,000, and
WHEREAS, Stivers Ford Lincoln has an available pickup that meets the needs of the Nature Parks Department for $41,367.00, and
WHEREAS, Stivers Ford Lincoln will hold the pickup with a Letter of Intent for purchase of the pickup on October 1, 2023, and
WHEREAS, the Nature Parks Department requests to purchase the 2023 Ford F150 Supercrew 4x4 Pickup off the State Contract List T191-J348 OR J349 for $41,367.00 under Account 100-5090-5100.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves the Nature Parks Department to purchase the 2023 Ford F150 Supercrew 4x4 Pickup off the State Contract List T191-J348 OR J349 for $41,367.00 under Account 100-5090-5100 and allows the Mayor to sign a Letter of Intent to hold the vehicle until October 1, 2023.
SECTION 2: Approves the transfer of $1,367 from Environmental capital account 100-2040-5100 to Nature Parks capital account 100-5090-5100 to cover the amount over budget.
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
