WHEREAS, the Police Department is in need to retire (2) two present Police Canines after a faithful and long service to the Foley Police Department and to the citizens of Foley. K9 Tua and K9 Niko
should be declared surplus and retired to their current handlers, Sgt. Carlos Lizarraga and Cpl. Curtis Ricks, which is current practice.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves retiring Police K9 Tua and Police K9 Niko to their current handlers, Sgt. Carlos Lizarraga and Cpl. Curtis Ricks, and declare both K9's as surplus.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
