WHEREAS, the City of Foley was awarded a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG Project No. LR-CM-PF-16-010) in the amount of $450,000 from the Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs (ADECA) on October 28, 2016 to improve the public sewer system in the southeastern quadrant of the City; and
WHEREAS, resolution 16-1339 accepted the award but did not appropraite the budget funds for the project, and
WHEREAS, the project requires Professional Administrative Services and the City did solicit Requests for Proposals for Professional Administrative Services in accordance with applicable procurement laws, rules and regulations; and
WHEREAS, the City did receive one (1) proposal from Grant Management, LLC for said services by the deadline of January 6, 2017 which was reviewed at the City Council Meeting on January 17, 2017 and determined to be appropriate;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Awards the contract for project administration to Grant Management, LLC at a cost of $50,000 to be paid for with grant funds to provide the project administration services for the City’s 2016 CDBG Sewer Rehabilitation Project.
SECTION 2: Amends the budget for account no 36-5765 Grant Proceeds with an increase of $450,000, account no 36-5910 Local Match-Riviera Utilities with an increase of $690,000, 36-600-7300 Sewer Rehab-Grant Funds with an increase of $400,000, 36-600-7305 Sewer Rehab-Riviera Match with an increase of $690,000 and account no 36-600-7310 Administrative-Grant Funds with an increase of $50,000.
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
