Summary
The Street Department would like to request that the Mayor sign a Letter of Intent for the Purchase of three (3) 2027 T480 Kenworth Triaxle Dump Trucks from Truckworx for $615,000.00 ($205,000.00 EACH) . This is intended for purchase in FY27, but we request a letter of intent to reserve the trucks since there is long list of companies/municipalities ordering them for next year.

WHEREAS, The Street Department would like to request that the Mayor sign a Letter of Intent for the Purchase of three (3) 2027 T480 Kenworth Triaxle Dump Truck from Truckworx for $615,000.00 ($205,000.00 EACH) off of Sourcewell contract #o32824-KTC, AND
WHEREAS, this is a planned purchase for FY27 and due to a long lead time, we request to send a letter of intent to reserve a place in the list of companies/municipalities ordering them for next year.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Authorizes the Mayor to sign a Letter of Intent for the Purchase of three (3) 2027 T480 Kenworth Triaxle Dump Truck from Truckworx for $615,000.00 ($205,000.00 EACH) for the Street Department.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
