OWA has proposed dates for fireworks displays to be held for the remained of the summer and the winter 2025 season. The proposed dates of fireworks scheduled this winter on the property are for Labor Day - Saturday, August 30, 2025 with Sunday, August 31, 2025 being a make-up day; Tree Lighting Ceremony on Saturday, November 22, 2025 with Sunday, November 23, 2025 being a make-up day, and New Year's Celebration on Saturday, December 27, 2025 with Sunday, December 28, 2025. The fireworks shows will begin at 8:50 pm with the exception of the Tree Lighting Ceremony that will begin at 7:30 pm.

WHEREAS, OWA requests to host fireworks for their remaining summer and winter season for 2025 shows on the following dates:
Labor Day - Saturday, August 30, 2025 with Sunday, August 31, 2025 being a make-up day- 8:50 pm.
Tree Lighting Ceremony on Saturday, November 22, 2025 with Sunday, November 23, 2025 being a make-up day-7:30 pm.
New Year's Celebration on Saturday, December 27, 2025 with Sunday, December 28, 2025-8:50 pm.
WHEREAS, OWA requests permission to coordinate with the City of Foley Fire and Police Departments during these events as it pertains to general public safety and traffic routes.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves fireworks display to be held at the OWA grounds on Labor Day - Saturday, August 30, 2025 with Sunday, August 31, 2025 being a make-up day; Tree Lighting Ceremony on Saturday, November 22, 2025 with Sunday, November 23, 2025 being a make-up day, and New Year's Celebration on Saturday, December 27, 2025 with Sunday, December 28, 2025. The fireworks shows will begin at 8:50 pm with the exception of the Tree Lighting Ceremony that will begin at 7:30 pm.
SECTION 2: Approves a seven (7) day extension for any date in the event of inclement weather.
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
