WHEREAS, Environmental Department budgeted $12,500.00 for a wagon for the 2016 budget, but the wagon only costs $4500, and
WHEREAS, the nature parks need a tractor to pull wagons and for bush hog maintenance of trails and roadways, and
WHEREAS, Elberta Hardware has a 2012 used (76 hours) Yanmar/Cub Cadet EX 2900 tractor with a front end loader and used 48" Big Bee powertiller and Big Bee 48" box blade at a cost of $12,000.00.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves the purchase of the 2012 used (76 hours) Yanmar/Cub Cadet EX 2900 tractor with a front end loader and used 48" Big Bee powertiller and Big Bee 48" box blade from Elberta Hardware at a cost of $12,000.00, in lieu of a wagon, from Account No. 01-630-7010.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
