The Information Systems Manager, in coordination with the HR Director, has rearranged some job duties among the positions in the IT Department. These changes have not substantially altered the essential job duties in the positions overall and therefore there is no need for a pay grade re-analysis of any of the job descriptions at this time. However, there is a desire to re-title the Network Administrator and the Systems Administrator to better reflect the overall duties as shown in revised job descriptions for these positions. The proposal is to re-title the Network Administrator to IT Technician III and to re-title the Systems Administrator to Infrastructure Administrator. Both positions will remain at the same pay grade and FLSA classification.

                     WHEREAS, The Information Systems Manager, in coordination with the HR Director, has rearranged some job duties among the positions in the IT Department and there is now a need to re-title the positions in the City's Pay Classification Plan to better reflect the revised job duties.    

     NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:

                     SECTION 1:                     Authorizes an amendment to the Pay Classification Plan to re-title the Network Administrator position to IT Technician III, remaining at a Grade 16.

                     SECTION 2:                     Authorizes an amendment to the Pay Classification Plan to re-title the Systems Administrator to Infrastructure Administrator, remaining at a Grade 18.     

     SECTION 2:     This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
