WHEREAS, ALDOT is soliciting applications for the Transportation Alternatives Set-Aside Program (TAP) for FY 2027, and
WHEREAS, the City’s application will request funding for sidewalks on South Juniper Street from Pride Drive to US-98, and
WHEREAS, the estimated project construction cost is $1,809,638.05 with a cap of $800,000 of federal funds and $200,000 in matching funds plus an additional $$809,638.05 in matching funds for project costs that exceed the maximum grant allowed, and
WHEREAS, the application deadline is Friday, May 29, 2026, and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves the City of Foley Engineering Department's application for ALDOT’s Transportation Alternatives Set-Aside Program (TAP) for FY27.
SECTION 2: Approves City matching funds if the grant is awarded.
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
