WHEREAS, the City of Foley and the Baldwin County Board of Education desire to enter into an agreement of financial support to be used by the Board of Education to fund certain additional educational initiatives for public schools that serve the citizens of the City of Foley.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves the Local Public School Support Agreement between the City of Foley and the Baldwin County Board of Education that is attached and is to become a permanent part of this resolution.
SECTION 2: Authorizes the Mayor to execute the attached Local Public School Support Agreement.
SECTION 3: Approves the donation of $200,000.00 to the Baldwin County Board of Education from FY 2023 Account 100-1012-6111 contracts for public services.
SECTION 4: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
