The Marketing Department requests an amendment to the City’s Pay Classification Plan to adjust the pay grade for the Part-Time Caboose Club Operator from Grade 130 to Grade 90. The previous pay grade was determined to be higher than appropriate for the scope of duties. In addition, the department proposes a modification to the job description to include responsibilities for identifying maintenance issues at the Depot to better support facility operations and ensure safety. This is a budget neutral action.

     WHEREAS, it has been determined the vacant Part-Time Caboose Club Operator position in the Marketing Department is classified at a higher grade than appropriate for the duties performed; and

     WHEREAS, the job description for the Part-Time Caboose Club Operator is being updated to include responsibility for identifying maintenance issues at the Depot; and

     WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend the Pay Classification Plan to reflect these changes and ensure proper alignment of pay and responsibilities.

    

     NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:

     SECTION 1:     Amends the City's Pay Classification Plan by modifying the grade of the Part-Time Caboose Club Operator (Job Code 5060120) from a grade 130 to a grade 90.

     SECTION 2:     This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
