Title
Setting Library Fee Schedule
Summary
DESCRIPTION OF TOPIC: (who, what, when, where, why, and how much)
In order to officially establish a fee schedule through a City of Foley Resolution the Foley Public Library would suggest adopting the various fees that are described in the attached document entitled "Proposed Foley Public Library Fees". All of the included fees are long standing charges except those associated with the notarization of documents. Library staff would like to add this nominal fee to the schedule due to the substantial amount of staff time associated with this sevice to the public. In recent months the number of notarizations has escalated to a point where staff believes a small fee would be acceptable in offsetting costs associated with staff time. At present the three Notary Public on staff at the Library handle upwards of 150 notarizations per month ranging from one document per person to several documents per person.
