WHEREAS, in an effort to restructure the Police Department to accommodate its current and future needs, the Pay Classification Plan needs to be amended to change job titles or laterally convert positions.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Authorizes an amendment to the Pay Classification Plan by converting one (1) slot in the position of Corporal/Patrol (Job Code 2010163 / Grade 190) to the new position of Corporal/Community Oriented Policing (Job Code 2010167 / Grade 190).
SECTION 2: Authorizes an amendment to the Pay Classification Plan by converting two (2) slots in the position of Patrol Officer (Job Code 2010118 / Grade 150) to two (2) additional slots in the position of Accident Investigations Officer (Job Code 2010113 / Grade 150).
SECTION 3: Authorizes an amendment to the Pay Classification Plan by amending the title of Corporal/Accident Investigations (Job Code 2010161 / Grade 190) to Corporal/Patrol - Accident Investigations (Job Code 2010168 / Grade 190).
SECTION 4: Authorizes an amendment to the Pay Classification Plan by amending the title of Sergeant/Patrol - K9 (Job Code 2010140 / Grade 220) to Sergeant/K9 Unit Trainer (Job Code 2010169 / Grade 220).
SECTION 5: Authorizes an amendment to the Pay Classification Plan by amending the title of Chief Corrections Officer (Job Code 2010159 / Grade 140) to Corrections Command Sergeant (Job Code 2010170 / Grade 140).
SECTION 6: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
