Community Development needs a new wide format multi-function scanner/printer to scan in large format drawings. This is part of an ongoing project to catalog current and historical documents. The current unit has exceeded its useful life and needs to be declared surplus and disposed of by the best means possible. A replacement unit is available through US Communities.

WHEREAS, Community Development is in need of a new wide format multi-function scanner/printer to scan in large format drawings.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves the Mayor signing a contract entering to a capital lease with Ricoh USA, Inc. through the US Communities purchasing contract for $219.99 per month for 48 months with a $1 purchase at the end.
SECTION 2: Approves the disposal by the best means possible of capital asset #9442.
SECTION 3: Approves the transfer of $1,099.95 from account 01-615-7010 to account 01-629-7015.
SECTION 4: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
