A Resolution to Approve Contracting Sawgrass Consulting, LLC for Pickleball Design
Summary
Sawgrass prepared the conceptual plan for the pickleball courts, parking and access road. We would now like to contract with Sawgrass for the design work (excluding the Construction Management in the proposal) and are requesting approval of a contract for $109,285. We are not requesting more money at this time, but may likely have to increase the project cost estimate once all components are designed. Public works will help with the road work and potentially the City can offset some of the construction management cost proposed by Sawgrass. There is impact fee money available for pickleball.

WHEREAS, Resolution 22-1204 approved a contract with Sawgrass Consulting, LLC, for a conceptual layout plan for a pickleball court facility with adjacent parking areas near the farmers market, and
WHEREAS, A Request is now being made to contract with Sawgrass Consulting, LLC, for the design work, excluding the Construction Management in the proposal.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves the design work contract with Sawgrass Consulting, LLC for $109,285 under Impact Fee Fund Account No. 208-5030-5101,
SECTION 2: Grants approval for the Mayor to execute the related documents.
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
