Foley Sports Tourism has entered into a relationship with the Sun Belt for the next 10 years for a volleyball championship. Part of the agreement was to provide an Olympic caliber volleyball floor. This court will be used to attract other college level volleyball events. We feel the Council may be able to allocate some the COVID Relief funding to help offset the expense. We are asking to allocate $100,000 for the total cost and have started the bid process in order for us to receive in time for this year's event. The account number will be 400-5041-5104 Event Center Teraflex Volleyball Court. The expected lead time is 6 weeks.

WHEREAS, the Foley Event Center is need of portable volleyball court to meet contractual obligations,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Allocates $100,000 to account 400-5041-5104 TeraFlex Volleyball Court and approves permission to bid and purchase if within budget.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
