The marketing department requests council approval for the following annual ads:
A one-half page ad in the Alabama Advantage, the official state relocation guide for Alabama, published by PMT Publishing;
A full page ad in Visitor Magazine, published by Gulf Coast Newspapers - Special Editions, in both the fall/winter and the spring/summer editions;
A one-eighth page ad in the Alabama Vacation Guide, the state visitor guide distributed at all Alabama Welcome Centers, published by Compass Marketing, Inc.
A three-eights page ad in the Coast 360 Guide, published by Compass Marketing, Inc.;
and a three-eights page ad in the Coast 360 Concierge, published by Compass Marketing, Inc.

WHEREAS, the Marketing Department requests council approval for the following annual ads: a one-half page ad in the Alabama Advantage, the official state relocation guide for Alabama, published by PMT Publishing; a full page ad in Visitor Magazine, published by Gulf Coast Newspapers - Special Editions, in both the fall/winter and the spring/summer editions; a one-eighth page ad in the Alabama Vacation Guide, the state visitor guide distributed at all Alabama Welcome Centers, published by Compass Marketing, Inc.; a three-eights page ad in the Coast 360 Guide, published by Compass Marketing, Inc.; and a three-eights page ad in the Coast 360 Concierge, published by Compass Marketing, Inc. The expense for these advertisings will occur in FY13 and FY14 under Advertising Account No. 01-625-5210. This is a budgeted item.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1:      Believes that the annual ads in the Alabama Advantage, Visitor Magazine, Alabama Vacation Guide, Coastal 360 Guide and Coastal 360 Concierge are a useful public purpose of public funds and authorizes the expenditure of $11,950 for the ads.
SECTION 2:      This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
