Summary
The Foley Recreation Department requests permission to apply for the Good Sports Equipment Grant. Good Sports is current accepting applications until April 15, 2019. If awarded this grant, Good Sports would provide up to 6 donations of requested sports equipment over a two year period. The Recreation Department would be required to pay 5% of the cost of the equipment per donation.

WHEREAS, the Foley Recreation Department requests permission to apply for the Good Sports Equipment Grant, and
WHEREAS, the grant application is due April 15, 2019, and
WHEREAS, if awarded this grant, Good Sports would provide up to 6 donations of requested sports equipment over a two year period with a 5% match requirement from the Foley Recreation Department.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Grants permission to the Foley Recreation Department to apply for the Good Sports Equipment Grant.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
