Fuel is currently dispensed to pilots by the staff of Lightning Aviation during normal working hours. We would like to add a self-serve fueling terminal at the fuel farm to allow pilots to fuel their aircraft after normal operating hours or on holidays and other times when the airport is not staffed. Funds are currently included in airport capital purchase account #100-1070-5100. After further analysis and consideration, it was determined that funds need to be moved to the Capital Project fund since there will be some construction involved.

WHEREAS, the fuel farm at the Foley Municipal Airport does not allow for self-serve fueling of an aircraft and fuel is currently dispensed by the staff of Lightning Aviation during normal operating hours, and,
WHEREAS, there is a need to offer a self-serve fueling option to pilots who need to purchase fuel after hours or at other times when the airport is not staffed, and,
WHEREAS, QTpod offers a self-serve fueling terminal that can be added to the existing fuel farm system, and,
WHEREAS, a self-serve fuel station is included in the airports FY21 capital equipment purchase account but after analysis, it was determined that some construction is involved to install the pod and therefore, this needs to be moved to the capital project fund.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Transfers $30,000 from airport capital project account #100-1070-5100 to capital project fund, airport project #400-1070-5107 and amends transfer accounts #400-1012-4810 and #100-8000-8020.
SECTION 2: Approves the purchase and installation of a self-serve fueling terminal in an amount not to exceed $30,000.
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
