Title

A Resolution Approving Volkert, Inc Contract for Environmental Assessment for New Library Building

Summary

Under Resolution 23-1091, the Council approved the acceptance of the $2 million in HUD Community Project Funding for the new library construction. HUD requires as part of this agreement that an environmental assessment be completed on the site prior to construction. As the City is unable to conduct these assessments on our own, we have obtained a proposal from Volkert, Inc as they have direct experience with HUD funded projects. We request to accept the proposal submitted by Volkert Inc in the amount of $102,654.51 and amend the budget accordingly. If we do not move forward with this environmental assessment, they we will not be eligible for the $2m in HUD project funding.
