WHEREAS, the City of Foley was awarded the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation Gulf Environmental Benefit Fund Grant for the Wolf Creek Headwaters Restoration Phase I, and
WHEREAS, the Phase I grant includes the project development, engineering plans, design specifications, and environmental permitting, and
WHEREAS, Volkert, Inc. submitted the contract for engineering and construction oversight services in the amount up to $484,794.24 for the services.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves the contract with Volkert, Inc. for engineering and environmental services for the Wolf Creek Headwaters Restoration Phase I in the amount up to $484,794.24 under Account No. 400-2040-5101 R50 PROF.
SECTION 2: Council authorizes Mayor, Clerk, Attorney, and other City officials to sign the contracts and other documents required to proceed with the project.
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
