WHEREAS, during the pandemic citizens and businesses have been advised to "social distance" to keep employees and customers safe and;
WHEREAS, the Revenue and Community Development departments do not have software capabilities which allows for social distancing and;
WHEREAS, the Revenue and Community Development departments are in need of software which will allow employees and customers to keep safe distances and still be able to apply for permits and licenses to comply with local laws and statutes and;
WHEREAS, ARPA fund are available for this;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Grants permission to go to bid and purchase software for Revenue and Community Development.
SECTION 2: Software for Revenue and Community Development is budgeted for $94,500 under account 100-9200-6801 ARPA Expense and is included on the ARPA list previously presented to Council.
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
