WHEREAS, the City of Foley and the Economic Development Director have been working on various major economic development projects, and
WHEREAS, the City deems it necessary to hire an outside consulting firm for assistance, and budgeted for this under General Government Account 01-620-3020, and
WHEREAS, the budget needs to reflect a transfer of funds from the General Government Consultant/Professional Fees Account to Economic Development to better track the expense.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves the transfer of $30,000 from General Government Account 01-620-3020 Consultant/Professional Fees to General Government Account 01-620-8145 Economic Development Expense.
SECTION 2: Approves entering into a Personal Service Agreement with Common Sense Economic Development, LLC, an Alabama Limited Liability Company ("CSED") in the amount of $30,000 that shall be payable upon the terms and conditions set forth in the agreement, which is made a permanent part of this resolution upon its adoption. The term of this agreement shall expire on September 30, 2013, unless terminated sooner.
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
