WHEREAS, the Foley Fire Department requests permission to apply for the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation Grant to fund the purchase of water rescue equipment to be used in the events of natural disasters for response, search and rescue operations.
WHEREAS, the Fire Department will request a $17,342.05 grant to be awarded with no matching requirements, and
WHEREAS, the grant application is due by November 11, 2020 with notification of the grant decision by mid-January 2021.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves the request from the Foley Fire Department to apply for the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation Grant with no cost matching requirements.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
