WHEREAS, there is a need to make safety improvements in the vicinity of the existing guardrail location along the Foley Beach Express approximately 2,000 feet north of CR 12, and
WHEREAS, the Engineering Department has identified potential improvements in this location by relocating the existing guardrail more towards the toe of the ditch slope, and
WHEREAS, a proposal has been solicited from C&H Construction Services, LLC for work associated with removing the existing guardrail infrastructure and installing new guardrail towards the toe of the ditch slope.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Appropriates $15,000.00 for the Foley Beach Express Guardrail Relocation Safety project for Account No. 12-600-9385 A11 GUARD.
SECTION 2: Approves C&H Construction Services, LLC’s proposal in the amount of $13,200.00 for the guardrail removal and installation service for Account No. 12-600-9385 A11 GUARD.
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
