     WHEREAS,  the City of Foley is requesting approval to begin the Downtown Parking Lot Resurfacing Project, appropriate funding for construction, and solicit bids for the base bid scope of work consisting of resurfacing, striping, and installing concrete curbs stops for approximately 2,300 square yards of existing parking lots in downtown between US98 and Orange Avenue; and

 

     WHEREAS,  an additive Bid Alternate #1 consists of approximately 12 square yards of vehicular brick pavers and appropriate subgrade and base material.

 

     NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:

 

     SECTION 1:     Approves going to bid for the Downtown Parking Lot Resurfacing Project.

 

     SECTION 2:     Appropriates $63,000.00 to Account No 400-3010-5104 and authorizes the bid to be awarded if the bids come back under the budgeted amount.

 

     SECTION 2:     This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
