Summary

Resolution 24-1057 approved the Cedar Street Sidewalk Project and appropriated funds for survey and design. The Street Department has received an estimate from James Bros Excavating in the amount of $133,746.00. The Street Department requests to appropriate funds for construction, not to exceed $135,000.00, under account #400-3010-5101 A23 CP for Phase I of the project. Phase I will include sidewalk along Cedar to Fern Ave. Phase II will include sidewalk from Fern Ave to Peachtree Ave.

   WHEREAS, Resolution 24-1057 approved the Cedar Street Sidewalk Project and appropriated funds for survey and design, AND,

   WHEREAS, The Street Department received a proposal from James Bros Excavating in the amount of $133,746.00 for Phase I construction, AND

   WHEREAS, The Street Department requests to appropriate funds for Phase I construction, not to exceed $135,000.00, under account #400-3010-5101 A23 CP.

 

   NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:

 

   SECTION 1:  Appropriates funds not to exceed $135,000.00 for the Cedar Street Sidewalk construction under account #400-3010-5101 A23 CP.

   SECTION 2:  Approves James Bros Excavating's proposal of $133,746.00.

   SECTION 3:  This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
