WHEREAS, Resolution 22-1301-RES authorized the application for funding assistance for certain improvements at the Foley Municipal Airport through the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the State of Alabama, acting by and through the Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT), and,
WHEREAS, the improvements associated with this application are planned for the purpose of constructing an access taxilane and an 8-unit T-Hangar, and,
WHEREAS, the City of Foley has received grant offers from the FAA and from ALDOT for construction of an access taxilane and an 8-Unit T-Hangar,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Accepts the FAA grant offer in the amount of $227,579 and the ALDOT grant offer in the amount of $12,643 for the construction of access taxilanes and authorizes, directs and empowers the Mayor to enter into an agreement with both entities and memorializes his acceptance of the FAA's offer. Approves the following revenue accounts and amends the budget accordingly: 400-1070-4105 (FAA) and 400-1070-4205 (ALDOT).
SECTION 2: Accepts the FAA grant offer in the amount of $304,000 and the ALDOT grant offer in the amount of $16,889 for the construction of an 8-Unit T-Hangar and authorizes, directs and empowers the Mayor to enter into an agreement with both entities and memorializes his acceptance of the FAA's offer. Approves the following revenue accounts and amends the budget accordingly: 400-1070-4111 (FAA) and 400-1070-4206 (ALDOT).
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
