WHEREAS, Previously on June 16, 2022 under Resolution 22-1160, Council approved $84,900.00 under Account #400-3020-5165 for the Fern Ave & Hwy 59 Intersection Improvements, and
WHEREAS, this project is directly related to improving the capacity and functionality of the existing intersection; and
WHEREAS, staff is requesting to use impact fee funds for this project; and
WHEREAS, staff would like to move forward with the solicit of bids, award within budget, and appropriate funding.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves the use of Impact Fee Funds for the Fern Ave & Hwy 59 Intersection Improvements.
SECTION 2: Approves permission to solicit bids, award within budget, and appropriates $300,000 to Account No #208-3000-5103 Fern Ave & Hwy 59 Intersection Improvements.
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
