WHEREAS, the Library requested permission to apply for the FY26 Dollar General Youth Literacy Grant on 26-1097-RES, and
WHEREAS, the $5,000 grant has been awarded and will be used to support the children's programming in the new STEAM lab, and
WHEREAS, the Library requests permission to accept the grant and to amend the FY27 budget as follows: $5,000 in GL 100-5020-4305 (Dollar General Grant Revenue) and $5,000 in GL 100-5020-6053 (Library - Small Tools).
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Accepts the FY26 Dollar General Youth Literacy Grant for $5,000.
SECTION 2: Approves to amends the budget as requested: $5,000 in GL 100-5020-4305 (Dollar General Grant Revenue) and $5,000 in GL 100-5020-6053 (Library - Small Tools).
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
