WHEREAS, during an executive session of the regularly scheduled City Council meeting on January 17, 2023, there was a consensus from City Council to sell property located in the Industrial Park in the amount of $50,000 per acre and the cost for subdivision work, and
WHEREAS, after the executive session, the City Council meeting was reconvened and Council approved the first reading of Ordinance 23-2004, and
WHEREAS, during the regularly scheduled City Council meeting of February 6, 2023, Council adopted Ordinance 23-2004, which declared certain real property surplus and no longer needed for municipal purposes and authorized the sale of the same, and
WHEREAS, Engineering Design Group LLC performed the subdivision work as proposed in the attached proposal in the amount of $6,224.00, and
WHEREAS, the costs of the work performed by Engineering Design Group LLC must be approved, and
WHEREAS, the budget needs to be adjusted for the sale of the property and the closing costs in the amount of $202,000 to account 100-1012-4801/Sale-Industrial Park Land.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves and memorializes all work performed by Engineering Design Group, LLC in an amount up to $6,224.00 and amends Account 100-1011-6020 Consulting/Professional Fees accordingly.
SECTION 2: Approves amending the budget for the total property sale price of $200,000, less approximately $2,000 of closing costs, and amends Account 100-100-1012-4801/Sale-Industrial Park Land accordingly.
SECTION 3: Approves payment in the amount of $6,224.00 to Engineering Design Group, LLC.
SECTION 4: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
