WHEREAS, Due to an increase of traffic on Juniper Street, there is a need for a Southbound left turn lane onto Beignet Drive and an improved Northbound right turn radius onto Iberville Drive; and
WHEREAS, the city has requested a professional services proposal for engineering and surveying services, which includes topographic survey, turn lane design, and construction plans.
WHEREAS, the professional services proposal from Axis Engineering Group, LLC for the Iberville Square Turn Lane is $56,000; and
WHEREAS, Engineering recommends approval for Axis Engineering Group, LLC's professional services proposal for the project.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approve Axis Engineering Group, LLC's Professional Services Proposal for the Iberville Square Turn Lane Project and appropriate $58,800.00, to include a 5% contingency for this item, to Account No#400-3020-5181.
SECTION 2: Authorize the Mayor to execute the professional services contract.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
