WHEREAS, the Foley High School's Public Safety and Forensics Seminar Class will be attending a field trip, and
WHEREAS, the class will be traveling to Florida State University, Panama City Campus to learn about FSU's Criminal Justice and Forensics programs. Foley Police Department is requesting to support this program
by making a one time donation of $500.00 to help cover travel costs for the class to attend and
WHEREAS, the Foley Police Department has received numerous donations form various sources and requests to accept these donations and use $500.00 from Donation Account number 100-2010-4651 and
increase the budget of Miscellaneous Account number #100-2010-6048 to pay for the travel costs.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves a one time donation of $500.00 to support payment payable to the Foley High School to help cover the travel costs to be incurred by the Foley High School for students of the
Public Safety and Forensics Program to travel to Florida State University (FSU) Panama City Campus to learn about FSU's Criminal Justice and Forensics Programs.
SECTION 2: Approves and accepts numerous donations made from multiple sources to Foley Police Department.
SECTION 3: Approves increasing the budget of the Miscellaneous Account #100-2010-6048 using available funds from Donation Account Number #100-2010-4651.
SECTION 4: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
