WHEREAS, the City of Foley Public Library intends to make application to the Dollar General Literacy Foundation for a grant in the amount of $3,000.00 to be used to fund the Foley Public Library's Summer Reading program, and
WHEREAS, the deadline for the grant is May 19, 2016, and
WHEREAS, the amount of the grant is $3,000.00 with no local match.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves the application by the Foley Public Library to the Dollar General Literacy Foundation for a Summer Reading Grant to benefit the Library's 2016 Summer Reading program.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
