A Resolution to Approve the Forestry Mowing of the Property Located at the Northwest Corner of US Highway 98 and Hickory Street.

 

Summary

Street Department is requesting  to clean up the property located at the Northwest corner of US Highway 98 and Hickory Street. The Forestry Mowing will make drainage improvements as well as help alleviate nuisance issues. The scope of work is approximately 40+/- acres. Street Department currently holds a bid contract with GreenCo to perform this type of work. The work to be performed is estimated at $55,000.00, so we are asking for up to $60,000 under account # 400-1010-5106 Land Purchase - NW Corner of 98 & Hickory.

     WHEREAS, Street Department is requesting to clean up the property located at the Northwest corner of US Highway 98 and Hickory Street, AND

     WHEREAS, The Forestry Mowing will make drainage improvements as well as help alleviate nuisance issues, AND

     WHEREAS, the Street Department requests up to $60,000.00 under account # 400-1010-5106 Land Purchase- NW Corner of US 98 & Hickory.

 

     NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:

 

     SECTION 1:     Approves the unbudgeted project to clean up the lot located at the Northwest corner of US Highway 98 and Hickory Street.

     SECTION 2:     Authorizes GreenCo to forestry mow property located at the Northwest corner of US Highway 98 and Hickory Street, PPIN 41945, in the amount up to $60,000.00.

     SECTION 3:     Amends the FY24 budget to increase account # 400-1010-5106 Land Purchase - NW Corner of US 98 & Hickory by $60,000.00.

     SECTION 4:     This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
