WHEREAS, the Foley Fire Department took delivery of a new custom fire pumper in 2020, and
WHEREAS, there is no longer a need for the 1999 KME Custom Fire Pumper, VIN 1K9AF4288XN058875, in the Fire Department fleet, and
WHEREAS, the Rabun Volunteer Fire Department in Baldwin County has expressed a need and desire to purchase the 1999 KME pumper.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Declares surplus a 1999 KME Custom Fire Pumper, VIN 1K9AF4288XN058875, and
SECTION 2: Approves the sale of same to Rabun Volunteer Fire Department for $50,000 to be deposited in the General Fund.
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
