The Revenue Department (1014) is requesting an increase of $6,500 in Account# 100-1010-5100 to cover the difference between the budgeted amount of $40,000 & increase in price of $6,500 and extra for delivery fee and ordering fees, if necessary. The electric vehicle was budgeted as a capital purchase under General Government, but prices have risen considerably. This price is still lower than the lowest bid given by Moyer Ford of $. This is the lowest, best quote we were able to obtain at this time and it is estimated that it will not be delivered until September 2022.

WHEREAS, the Revenue Division budgeted $40,000 for the purchase of an electric vehicle for an Auditor, AND
WHEREAS, prices have risen considerably, so that the lowest, best price we are able to obtain is from Tesla;
WHEREAS, the Revenue Department is requesting an increase of $6,500 in Account# 100-1010-5100 to cover the cost plus necessary fees.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves the request by Revenue Department to increase budget by $6,500 (total $46,500) for the purchase of an electric vehicle.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
