WHEREAS, the lowest base bid received for the TIGER Phase 2 project was in the amount of $1,437,340.50 and with all alternates for the total amount of $2,237,445.50, and
WHEREAS, a value engineering option was identified to bring the overall TIGER project into budget by removing TIGER Phase 2 alternates.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves awarding the TIGER Phase 2 project to Ammons & Blackmon Construction as the apparent low bidder in the amount of $1,916,710.50 which includes the base bid and alternates 1, 4 and 5 for Account No. 31-665-7200 and amends Account No. 31-665-7200 by a reduction of $336,124.50.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
