The Alabama League Convention will be held on May 19-22, 2018 in Montgomery, Alabama, with the Annual Business Session to be held at 3:45 p.m. on Monday, May 21, 2018 in Alabama Ballrooms AB at the Renaissance Montgomery Hotel & Spa at the Convention Center. There are two Council members attending this convention and the Council needs to select which one will be the voting delegate and which one will be the alternate. The two attending are Vera Quaites and Rick Blackwell.

WHEREAS, the Alabama League of Municipalities' Annual Convention will be held in Montgomery, Alabama, May 19 - 22, 2018, and
WHEREAS, the Annual Business Session will be held on May 21, 2018 at 3:45 p.m. in Alabama Ballrooms AB at the Renaissance Montgomery Hotel & Spa at the Convention Center, and
WHEREAS, Councilmembers Blackwell and Quaites will be attending the annual Convention for this year.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Appoints Councilmember Vera Quaites as the Voting Delegate and appoints Councilmember Rick Blackwell as the 1st Alternate Voting Delegate to represent the City of Foley at the Annual Business Session on May 21, 2018 at 3:45 p.m. in in Alabama Ballrooms AB at the Renaissance Montgomery Hotel & Spa at the Convention Center in Montgomery, Alabama.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
