WHEREAS, during its regular scheduled meeting on April 7, 2014, Council adopted Resolution 14-0123 granting permission for the Police Department to go to bid for five (5) 2015 model Chevrolet Tahoes, and
WHEREAS, due to high demand and a late production start, these vehicles will not be available by the end of the FY2014 budget cycle, and
WHEREAS, the Police Department purchased four (4) 2014 Ford F-150 trucks and two (2) 2014 Ford Interceptor Sedans in lieu of the Chevrolet Tahoes from Stivers Ford Lincoln in the amount of $170,180.00, and
WHEREAS, the Chevrolet Tahoes will purchased in 2015 under the FY2015 budget , and
WHEREAS, this Capital Purchase needs to be memorialized.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Memorializes the purchase of six vehicles listed on the attached quote that becomes a permanent part of this resolution from Stivers Ford Lincoln under State Contract T191L and T191A in the amount of $170,108.00 from Capital Purchase Account No. 01-608-7010.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
