WHEREAS, Resolution #4722-11 accepted a grant from the Alabama Historical Commission (AHC) for the Depot Museum Train Conductor/Tour Guide Project for $15,880 (prorated to $14,194) for the period October 1, 2011 through September 30, 2012, and
WHEREAS, all funds were not expended leaving a balance of $4,285.44 and the City was notified that it could use the remaining funds beyond September 30, 2012 to expand the scope of the project to include staffing for the Holmes Medical Museum as a larger initiative to enhance tourism to Historic Downtown Foley.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Authorizes the extension of the 2012 AHC Historic Preservation Grant (#2012-29) until March 31, 2013.
SECTION 2: Authorizes creating three (3) Temporary, Part-Time, Museum Staff at $12.00 per hour and the transfer of funds in the amount of $4,285.44 from Account No. 01-625-8600 to be distributed in the following personnel accounts:
$3, 971.44 into Welcome Center Part-time Salaries Account # 01-625-1015, $304.00 into Welcome Center Payroll Tax Account # 01-625-1030 and $10.00 into Welcome Center Workman's Comp Account # 01-625-1160.
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
